Hobie Beach

Adjacent to the north of Kiddie Beach, Hobie Beach is the designated launch location for kayaks, standup paddle boards, and other non-motorized watercraft.

Hollywood Beach

Located on the west side of the Harbor, encompassing one linear mile, Hollywood Beach offers a pristine recreation area as well as a great vantage point to view the Channel Islands extensive wildlife and vegetation. Public restrooms are located at the north end of the beach. Lifeguard services are provided from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Free parking is available on the street or at the Channel Islands Harbor adjacent to Hollywood Beach.

Kiddie Beach Park

Kiddie Beach Park is located just inside the Channel Harbor entrance adjacent to the Silver Strand neighborhood. It is a dedicated swim beach, and the only area inside the Harbor where swimming is permitted. Launching watercrafts from Kiddie Beach is limited to the north side of the beach. There is a parking lot for Kiddie Beach along South Victoria Avenue. A paved path starts at the parking lot and follows the Harbor entrance to Silver Strand Beach, which also offers public restrooms and parking.

Silver Strand Beach

Located on the east side of the Harbor, encompassing one linear mile of beach, Silver Strand Beach is a world renowned surfing, boogie boarding and body surfing spot. Public restrooms are located at the north end of the beach. Lifeguard services are provided from Memorial Day to Labor Day. A parking lot is available adjacent to San Nicholas Road. Free parking is available from sunrise to sunset. Additional parking is available on the street.

Beach Access

Beach wheelchairs are available to provide access to sandy areas. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, beach wheelchairs are available for checkout at the main lifeguard tower at the Silver Strand parking lot. During the rest of the year, beach wheelchairs may be checked out from Harbor Patrol at 3900 Pelican Way, Oxnard, CA 93035.

Dogs on the Beach

County Beaches: Dogs are allowed before 9 a.m. and after 5 p.m. on-leash only. Please clean-up after your pet.

Parks

Channel View Park is located near the entrance of the Channel Islands Harbor at the south end of Harbor Boulevard adjacent to Hollywood Beach.

While the park lacks public restrooms, its focus on simplicity and natural beauty aligns with its role as a peaceful viewing spot. This park is the perfect place for individuals and families alike, providing a front-row seat to maritime wonders and sweeping views.

Harbor East Park

Harbor East Park is a charming .5-acre waterfront location offering a blend of relaxation and scenic beauty. The park is located off the Murre Way cul-de-sac, just north of Channel Islands Sportfishing (4151 Victoria Ave. Oxnard, CA 93035)

Ample parking spaces (ADA included) make it easy for guests to access the park, creating a hassle-free environment for a day of enjoyment by the water. The convenience of public restrooms ensures comfort for visitors, enhancing the overall park experience.

The park includes two picnic tables, perfect for enjoying a meal with family and friends.

Harbor East Park is the great destination for those seeking a secluded escape with the added convenience of basic amenities and breathtaking views.

Harbor View Park

Harbor View Park is a vibrant community hub, home to a few of the Channel Islands Harbor’s signature events. This dynamic 2-acre park is not only a green oasis but also a venue for beloved gatherings such as car shows, farmers markets, and the Concerts by the Sea summer series, creating a lively atmosphere that draws locals and visitors alike.

The park offers an array of amenities to enhance the visitor experience, including ample parking for easy access. Public restrooms ensure convenience for all visitors, while a canopy of shady trees provide coverage from the sun.
