3rd Annual Oxnard Jazz Festival

The 3rd Annual Oxnard Jazz Festival will be held this weekend from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Oxnard Beach Park, just north of the Channel Islands Harbor.

There is sure to be a lot of attendees, so parking might be a challenge. Fortunately, there is ample parking and a shuttle running from the Harbor to Oxnard Beach Park. Every 20 minutes from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., a shuttle will be available to ride at the corner of Harbor Blvd. and Cabezone Circle, near Marine Emporium Landing.

If you are a jazz enthusiast, this is the festival for you.

The lineup includes Con Funk Shun, Greg Adams & East Bay Soul, Kelly’s Lot, Mindi Abair & the Boneshakers, Paul Brown, Pete Escovedo, Rick Parma, and Tierra. The “Homegrown Talent” spotlight will be on Rahul Nedunuri, a 16-year old guitarist, from Simi Valley.

In addition to stellar performances, festival goers can look forward to an array of arts, crafts and retail shopping inside the vendor marketplace. Sampling cuisine from local restaurants, bakeries and food trucks will also be available.
