PRESENT FAIRY TALES IN THE PARK SHOW SERIES

FAIRY TALES COME ALIVE AT CHANNEL ISLANDS HARBOR!
Gypsies in a Trunk, the all-volunteer troupe of actors perform Free fairy tales for the young and the young at heart. The troupe's love of children's theatre has led them to perform all over Ventura County since 1995. Gypsies in the Trunk will also perform a variety of other productions in Channel Islands Harbor Scheduled for
May 3, June 7, July 5, August 2 and September 6.
The performances are Free of charge to the public, however, donations are appreciated to help defray the cost of the production.

The performances will take place at 2 p.m. at the north end of Harbor View Park located adjacent to Marine Emporium Landing and Farmer’s Market. Ample space is available at Harbor View Park and visitors are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and snacks as they watch the live performance.

Parade begins at 11:00 AM
The parade begins in front of Harbor Landing Shopping Center and follows Harbor Boulevard South to the parking lot area in front of the Whale’s Tail and Port Royal Restaurants.
The parade is open to all patriotic entries. Kids, decorate your bikes, scooters, skates & boards.
Parents oil the strollers and shine the wagons.
Grandparents tune up the old Model-T & plug in the golf carts.
Musicians tune your instruments & patriots wave your flags; everyone is welcome!
Judging categories include: Individual, Small Group, Large Group, Motorized Vehicle(s): classic cars, fire trucks, golf carts, etc., Musical: bands, individual musicians, etc., Equestrian and Floats

5th ANNUAL 10K AND 5K FUN RUN/WALK
7:00 A.M. Registration, 10K & 5K races start together at 8:00 A.M. Location: Sunset Lane, Hollywood Beach 10K (6.2) miles is along the beach through Hollywood & Oxnard State Beach Park, Mandalay Shores, Flat Course, No Hills 5K (3.1 mile) is along half of 10K course & welcomes runners and walkers of all ages.

44th ANNUAL “PARADE OF LIGHTS”

This time-honored tradition kicks off the holidays with a full day and evening of family fun, thousands of sparkling lights dancing on the water and the magical moment when Santa flies across the sky marking the beginning of the parade.

Let’s make this the most successful Parade of Lights the Harbor has ever seen!
Registering your boat not only makes you officially part of the parade, but automatically enters you into the competition for some great awards, the most coveted award being the perpetual “Sweepstakes Trophy”. All registered boats will be positioned between the Lead Boat and the Ending Boat. Each will receive 2 tickets to the Parade of Lights Awards Ceremony Brunch to be held at Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club the following morning, December 13th at 10:00 AM.

Race Starts at 8:00 AM in front of the Santa Claus off the 101 freeway and the Del Norte exit in Oxnard.
The Santa to the Sea run is an event sponsored by Garden Acres Mutual Water Co., a non profit organization, which is helping to raise money and collect toys for underprivileged children within Ventura County.

Horse-drawn carriages with sleigh bells will be available for rides from 12:00 – 5:00 PM. Pickup and drop off at the north end of Harborview Park next to the Snowplay Area.

Santa Claus Flyover!
Santa and his reindeer will light across the sky, marking the beginning of the parade at 7:00 P.M. This time-honored tradition is presented courtesy of Aspen Helicopters.
Parade Viewing:
The parade may be viewed from parks and walkways that line the route as well as from most Harbor restaurants. For outdoor viewing we suggest that you dress warm and bring blankets and chairs. The Parade route begins in front of Peninsula Park and heads to the Main Channel, turns at Hobie Beach, loops in front of the launch ramp then heads back to Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club and repeats the route for second run.
