43rd ANNUAL “PARADE OF LIGHTS”
Channel Islands Harbor
Saturday, December 13th, 12:00 NOON - 9:00 P.M.
PARADE STARTS AT 7:00 P.M.
This time-honored tradition kicks off the holidays with a full day and evening of family fun, thousands of sparkling lights dancing on the water and the magical moment when Santa flies across the sky marking the beginning of the parade.

Let’s make this the most successful Parade of Lights the Harbor has ever seen!
Registering your boat not only makes you officially part of the parade, but automatically enters you into the competition for some great awards, the most coveted award being the perpetual “Sweepstakes Trophy”. All registered boats will be positioned between the Lead Boat and the Ending Boat and will receive 2 tickets to the Parade of Lights Awards Ceremony Brunch at Channel Islands Yacht Club the following morning, December 9th at 10:00 AM.

DAYTIME FESTIVITIES
Snowplay for the Children!
25 tons of snow will fall at Channel Islands Harbor at 10:00 A.M. until meltdown! Located of the north end of Harborview Park adjacent to Channel Islands Harbor Marina.
Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides
Horse-drawn carriages with sleigh bells will be available for rides form 12:00 – 5:00 PM. Pickup and drop off at the north end of Harborview Park next to the Snowplay Area.
AROUND THE HARBOR

Strolling carolers, Santa & Mrs. Claus, unique holiday shopping, waterside restaurants and much more!
12 - 7:00 P.M.
Holiday artist’s market, exhibitors, food booths, live music, children’s hands-on art, activities, games and rides, gigantic inflatable fun zone, face painting, water taxi rides and much more!
Santa Claus Flyover!
Santa and his reindeer will light across the sky, marking the beginning of the parade at 7:00 P.M. This time-honored tradition is presented courtesy of Aspen Helicopters.
Parade Viewing:
The parade may be viewed from parks and walkways that line the route as well as from most Harbor restaurants. For outdoor viewing we suggest that you dress warm and bring blankets and chairs. The Parade route begins in front of Peninsula Park and heads to the Main Channel, turns at Hobie Beach, loops in front of the launch ramp then heads back to Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club and repeats the route for second run.

December 2008 – Monday. Tuesday, & Wednesday Nights
Come experience one of the most unique light displays on the California coast. See our Harbor “lit up with holiday spirit” as hundreds of thousands of lights sparkle and dance across the water. Enjoy sparkling bright lights and holiday decorations from the water as you tour Channel Islands Harbor and Mandalay Bay on the
Channel Islands Harbor Water Taxi.
Tours are offered Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 6 P.M. and 7:30 P.M.
The cost is $10.00 per person. Reservations are required.
