Neighbor to the enchanting
Channel Islands, and one of
the West Coast's most active
boating Harbors, Channel Islands
Harbor is a blend of scenic water
activities and working harbor.
Less than an hour from Los Angeles, Channel Islands Harbor is a resort and recreation area, with dive centers, kayak rentals, boat charters, yacht clubs,
sportfishing and nine full-service Marinas providing berths for 2,150 boats. It also hosts a Maritime Museum and a Visitor's Information Center. There are
scenic bike paths nearby, as well as three golf courses within six miles.
As gateway to the Channel Islands, the Harbor offers a variety of excursions
and opportunities to visit the Channel Islands National Park, a unique
ocean environment of five offshore islands. Here, isolation has allowed
magnificent diversity in evolution, with species ranging from plankton to the
blue whale and more than 2,000 terrestrial plants and animals. These beautiful
and fragile islands are an extraordinary experience, just a short boat trip
from the Channel Islands Harbor.
Relax along the waterfront, moor in its harbor, or take a voyage of exploration
to the remarkable Islands and Marine Sanctuary and discover Channel Islands
Harbor for yourself.
