Art Comes Alive is back at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum, bringing history, art, and imagination to life over two unique days of immersive experiences on March 14-15, 2026. Whether you prefer an evening of cocktails and conversation or a lively family-friendly daytime event, there’s an Art Comes Alive experience for you.

Saturday, March 14 | 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. — Night at the Maritime Museum

Kick off the weekend with a special evening edition of Art Comes Alive, “Night at the Maritime Museum,” designed as an open-house style cocktail event for adults.

The museum transforms into a living gallery where maritime art, history and theatrical storytelling converge. During this event, explore the galleries as characters inspired by the Museum’s collection emerge to engage, reflect and reveal the human stories behind the art and ship models.

This is not a performance you sit and watch! It’s a one-of-a-kind experience you move through. Sip a drink, enjoy tasty hors d’oeuvres, wander the Museum and encounter sailors, explorers, pirates, kings & queens who invite conversation and curiosity. This evening edition of Art Comes Alive offers a more intimate, atmospheric way to experience the Museum after hours. Guests should arrive before 8 p.m. for the full experience.

Tickets are $40 for non-members and $35 for members.

Sunday, March 15 | 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. — Art Comes Alive: The Experience

Join the Channel Islands Maritime Museum for its annual Art Comes Alive event, where history and creativity merge in an unforgettable experience. Volunteers, community members, and actors will bring to life characters from the Museum’s renowned maritime art collection. This interactive event allows visitors of all ages to engage with historical figures, both real and imagined, while celebrating our maritime heritage. Attendees can explore themed photo stations, interact with the characters and participate in a family friendly & fun adventure.

Tickets are $18 in advance for non-members, $20 at the door, and $15 for members.
