Channel Islands Harbor Farmers Market Expands Hours

Patrons at the Channel Islands Harbor’s Sunday Farmers Market will have additional time to shop thanks to a change in hours.

Market hours will now be from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. instead of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Ventura County Harbor Department Director Mark Sandoval said patrons and vendors asked for additional time because of the length of time it takes to gain access and shop at the market due to safety measures put in place.

“The weekly Farmer’s Market is the best event in the Harbor, as evidenced by the number and enthusiasm of the shoppers. During this pandemic, the operator has done a great job controlling crowding and protecting the vendors and patrons. With a reduction in the number of patrons allowed at any one time, there has been a desire to increase the operating hours, and this change is a win-win for vendors and patrons alike,” Director Sandoval said.

The Farmers Market is operated by Raw Inspiration, Inc., a business that operates more than 20 markets throughout Southern California.
