Two Car Shows Headline Father’s Day Weekend at the Channel Islands Harbor

Two car shows will anchor a busy 2022 Father’s Day Weekend at the Harbor. Even if he isn’t a car guy, there’s plenty of other activities to participate in with your dad.

Car Shows

He might not be an expert at everything, but one thing that your dad probably knows everything about is cars.

There’s no better place for him to showcase his vast knowledge than the Harbor, where two cars will be held at the same time.

The Channel Islands Harbor Father’s Day Car Show, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 19th at Harbor View Park, will feature 150-200 cars, a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, live music and much more. Proceeds from this event will benefit Food Share of Ventura County.

The Channel Islands Maritime Museum will be a hub of activity and fun on Father’s Day, as it celebrates the day with “Classics by the Sea.” This family-friendly event will feature a wonderful display of woodies and classic cars of all vintages, many one-of-a-kind, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Museum will also be hosting its unique annual maritime treasure sale including used books, ship models and art. The event will feature live music and food (for purchase) will also be available.

Go Parasailing

There’s no better way to create a memory with Dad than hovering 800ft (or 1,000ft) above the Pacific Ocean with Channel Islands Parasail. Guests launch right from the boat and into the clear blue skies, capturing views of the Ventura County coastline that cannot be gotten any other way!

Go Sportfishing

Sportfishing is one of the most classic Father’s Day activities for a reason. When else do you get to stand side-by-side with Dad and catch up on life while you enjoy the great outdoors? There are two well established sportfishing companies in the Harbor that can get you out fishing.

Channel Islands Sportfishing offers a variety of trips available including local half-day trips, ¾ day island trips and overnight outer island trips. On Father’s Day, Dads ride for free if you book a ¾ day trip on the sportfishing vessel, Gentlemen. (Limited spaces left)

Hook’s Landing’s sportfishing offers half-day trips, ¾ trips, and overnight trips as well.

Explore the Harbor on the Water

If your dad is an adventurer, you don’t want to visit the Harbor without getting out onto the water. Between the Channel Islands Kayak Center, Hopper Boat Rentals and Southern California Jet Skis, there are a wide range of personal water craft – electric boats, paddle boats, kayaks, paddle boards, jet skis – to suit a variety of budgets and tastes. The Harbor offers pristine views and clear water. Getting out on the water is a must that you and Dad will remember for a lifetime.

Dine with Dad

The Channel Islands Harbor includes more than a dozen places for you and Dad to eat. There’s a wide range of places to dine, so check out our restaurants page here. The Channel Islands Farmers’ Market also includes a variety of dining options too.
