Ventura County’s premier vintage Volkswagen car show is back at the Channel Islands Harbor. A variety of Beetles, Bugs, Vanagons, Vans, Karmann Ghias and more will be on display on Saturday July 28, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Harborview Park.
The event, called the Airhead Parts Treffen Vintage Volkswagen Cruise and Car Show, will feature music, food trucks, and a parts swap meet.
20th Annual Highway 1 Treffen Cruise
Prior to the 10 a.m. official start, dozens of VWs participating in the 20th Annual Highway 1 Treffen Cruise will be at the Harbor. The treffen participants are scheduled to arrive at the Harbor at 8 a.m. and leave by 10 a.m. After the treffen departs, VWs from throughout the area will be on display.
This year marks the 20th year of the treffen, which stands for “meeting” or “gathering” in German. The Highway 1 Treffen started out as a Karmann Ghia only lunch cruise, and quickly became the largest gathering of Volkswagen Karmann Ghias in the world.
