On this #ThrowbackThursday, we pay tribute to the Harbor Hopper! Back in the day, this privately-operated water taxi service helped visitors explore every corner of the Harbor with ease – hopping from shops to marinas to restaurants, all for a small fee. After the original owner discontinued the service, the Harbor Department revived the Hopper from 2000-2009. The Hopper was heavily used seasonally, especially during major events. As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, we’re looking back to at all the unique features that have made the Harbor special through the decades. The Harbor Hopper was certainly unique!
