The Channel Islands Harbor Visioning Process is being led by the urban planning consultant firm Sargent Town Planning. Sargent Town Planning is working closely with a diverse steering committee to help create a framework on how the Harbor will be developed in the next 30 years. The steering committee comprises representatives from the County of Ventura, the City of Oxnard, the Harbor business community, and residential representatives.

Ventura County Harbor Department Director Mark Sandoval, a member of the steering committee, said the survey is an important tool to get feedback from County residents and visitors.

“I believe the visioning process is an important undertaking and will help shape development in the Harbor for the next few decades,” Director Sandoval said. “We’d love to hear from residents and visitors about their experience and ideas about the Harbor.”

Participants who complete the survey also have the chance to win prizes provided by Harbor businesses, such as $50 gift cards from SeaFresh Restaurant and Southern California Jet Skis & Electric Boats.  Participants must provide their name and email address when completing the survey to be eligible to win a randomly-drawn prize.  The drawing date and winners will be announced on the visioning webpage.
