Celebrate 4th of July at Channel Islands Harbor

Looking for a fun and festive way to celebrate the Fourth of July? Head to Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard, where a full day of family-friendly activities, entertainment, waterfront dining, and spectacular fireworks awaits. From the annual Family Parade and expanded Farmers Market to the evening’s 9 p.m. Fireworks by the Sea display, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Family Parade

The celebration begins at 10:30 a.m. with the annual Family Parade on Harbor Boulevard. Community members are invited to show off their patriotic spirit by dressing in red, white, and blue and joining the parade on foot, bicycle, scooter, wagon, golf cart, or other family-friendly wheels. The parade travels north along Harbor Boulevard on the west side of the Harbor and offers a fun way for families, friends, and local organizations to celebrate Independence Day together. Expanded Farmers Market

From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Harbor View Park will host a special Fourth of July edition of the Channel Islands Harbor Farmers Market. Visitors can shop for fresh produce, artisan foods, baked goods, handmade crafts, and unique gifts while enjoying live entertainment and a festive holiday atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to grab lunch, pick up picnic supplies, and support local farmers and vendors.

Fireworks by the Sea

The day concludes with Fireworks by the Sea, one of Ventura County’s most anticipated Independence Day traditions. The fireworks begin at 9 p.m. and are launched east of Victoria Avenue from the waters off Naval Base Ventura County. Nearly anywhere around the Harbor offers a great viewing location, making it easy for families and friends to gather along the waterfront and enjoy the spectacular display. As colorful bursts light up the night sky and reflect across the Harbor, Fireworks by the Sea provides a memorable finale to a day filled with patriotism, community, and summertime fun.
